This painting pays homage to the Big Wave surfers of the world. Big wave surfing is a sport unto itself, by far one of the most extreme of the extreme sports. It is a sport that sits precariously on the edge of sanity. It is one of the most spectacularly beautiful juxtapositions of the immense power of nature versus the immense power of the human spirit.
