Original art by Todd Goodman, Acrylic Painting on 48"x36" canvas. Prints are available on matted photo paper or framed canvas. Original painting is for sale.

The Templo de la Inmaculada Concepcion, or Church of the Immaculate Conception, was built between 1755 and 1842. This painting is based on a photograph I shot of the church from the roof top patio of the hostel I was staying at in San Miguel de Allende.

I had the pleasure of visiting this gorgeous arts haven in the fall of 2015, which was the first international trip I had taken in over 10 years. A hidden gem tucked into the arid hills of Guanajuato, San Miguel is one of the most important centers of art in the western hemisphere. Whether its the endless art galleries along the winding cobblestone roads, masterful craftsmanship in woodwork, welding and masonry exemplified on every front door and building facade, public art displays and performances, the world famous Fabrica La Aroura, insanely delicious food and the friendliest people, I knew that I wouldn't walk away from my trip uninspired.
